Dave Bloom was born and raised in Great Falls and has spent his life fishing the waters of Montana and Idaho. He began his guiding career in 1985 on the Henry’s Fork, the South Fork of the Snake and the Teton in Idaho. In 1995, he moved closer to home when he guided on the famous rivers around Yellowstone National Park. In 2001, Dave returned to the Missouri where continues to guide anglers today. You can contact Dave at Bloom Outfitting.

Dave is a signature tier for Yellowstone Fly Goods.

We would again also like to thank the Federation of Fly Fishers for allowing us to film in their beautiful library. If you aren’t a member of FFF, please take a look at their site and see what they are all about.

This fly is a great Missouri River pattern “like bug soup or tricos”.
